There are those who choose a profession during their life and there are those who cannot deal with just one thing. But what happens when an anthropologist, an interpreter, a university lecturer and a translation researcher, who also cherished dreams of becoming an opera singer, meet in one person? You can even translate an opera - which is no small challenge in itself - but we can also hear something else from Gyöngyvér in her captivating performance. Gyöngyvér Bozsik is a university assistant professor, English language and literature teacher, economic and social science translator and interpreter, European Union conference interpreter. He obtained his doctorate at the Doctoral School of Linguistics of Eötvös Loránd University. At first he worked as a language teacher, later as a specialist translator and interpreter (and still works today), then he started teaching interpretation and translation at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, BME, János Kodolányi University and Pannon University, among others. His main research area is understanding and bridging the challenges inherent in the translation of opera texts.
