Reborn 30 years ago, through the sacrifice and effort of Father Gherasim Rotaru, the Poiana Pustniculi hermitage in the Vulcan mountains is quite difficult to reach. The church of the monastery was consecrated four years ago, on October 21, 2018, by His Holiness Father Irineu, Metropolitan of Oltenia, together with a council of hieromonks led by the Reverend Father Exarch, Ioachim Parvulescu, abbot of Lainici Monastery.
