On the shores of Lake Morasco in Val Formazza, completely dug into the rock, is the Edison Group power plant. It will operate automatically, its turbines driven by the water flowing in the forced conduit maintained at 2500 m above sea level by a colossal dam that blocks the basin of the Sabbioni glacier. The construction of the dam took 1200 men, including workers, technicians and managers, for 5 seasons. This documentary tells not only the evolution of the work, but also the daily toil of these men, sometimes anxious about the explosion of a mine, sometimes silent because of the nostalgia for their distant family.
