A complete film for the 4th Advent. It is not for nothing that the E 44 is called the grandmother of all modern electric locomotives. It was the first locomotive to use the design principle still used today - a load-bearing locomotive body and motor in the bogie. The first series locomotives were put into service in 1932. There were more than 180 units in total. The universal usability made the E 44 the jack of all trades. Join us in many historical scenes through the eventful history of this series. See the museum locomotives in the East and West and of course the only E 44 that is still operational today - E 44 044. Running time approx. 50 minutes. Enjoy watching.
