The latest version of the star catalogue of our galaxy, produced by the European satellite Gaia, located 1.5 million kilometres from Earth, is about to be made public. This new version lists and characterises 1.8 billion stars with unprecedented precision! The processing of the scientific data transmitted by Gaia is currently entrusted to 420 European scientists and 10 international scientists. How is a star catalogue produced? What is its purpose? What role does European cooperation play in establishing this catalogue? What questions arise in light of this new data and what are the challenges for astronomy? With Frédéric Arenou, CNRS/Observatoire de Paris-PSL; Daniel Hestroffer, Observatoire de Paris-PSL; Paola Di Matteo, Observatoire de Paris-PSL; Olivier La Marle, CNES. Conferences led by Gilles Dawidowicz, SAF. Opening by Gilles Dawidowicz Presentation of the Gaia project by Frédéric Arenou, history and presentation of the telescope. The third catalogue, from astrometry to astrophysics - Frédéric Arenou Gaia and the galaxy - Paola Di Matteo Gaia and the solar system - Daniel Hestroffer Gaia, a European cooperation - Olivier La Marle Discussion with the four speakers and Gilles Dawidowicz: Humans with varied backgrounds and a catalogue that is part of time.
