Will there still be work for everyone in the future? Or will digitalization make people redundant? On November 22, 2017, in the Golden Hall of the city of Augsburg, the philosopher Prof. Peter Sloterdijk and the President of the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Gordon Rohrmair, provided plenty of food for thought at the launch event of the TEAM 4.0 training project, which is funded by the Free State of Bavaria and the EU. The project is intended to prepare employees for the technological upheavals in the labor market and is supported by the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH and the BBZ vocational training center. Over the next three years, it will offer training courses on the topic of Work 4.0. In his lecture at the opening event, Prof. Dr. Gordon Thomas Rohrmair, President of the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, addressed the world of work 4.0 and examined the question of whether people are being left behind in the digital transformation. The philosopher Prof. Dr. Peter Sloterdijk then discussed the development of digitalization and its significance for society. More information about Team 4.0: www.team-40.de
