It is a film that cannot help but draw great interest due to the meeting of two actors who need no introduction, and the chase between the two in the beginning and middle of the film shows the typical well-made western film. However, the development in the latter half is mixed. The film consistently shows Carver's anger and Geddon running away from it, but in the latter half of the film, it hints that the situation of the two is closer to a symbol than reality through an Indian old man and a desert peddler. And this change of perspective is a bit unfriendly, so it may feel out of place from the perspective of the audience watching the latter half. Nevertheless, if I were to put my own interpretation into it, the resentment between Carver and Geddon is not a feeling between individuals, but shows the deep conflict between the two camps that has built up over the long war. And rather than defending either camp, the madness of the war itself is a foolish act that devours one's own life, like throwing away water and horses in the desert and picking up guns and bullets. Breaking the chain of evil reveals that the unconditional repentance shown by Geddon and the courageous forgiveness shown by Carver are the answer. Of course, there is room for various interpretations, but I think that alone makes this movie valuable. Although it does not have flashy action, the movie 'Seraphim Falls' has decent visual beauty and sufficient theme awareness. Movie Dochi recommends it to you.
