In this series, we will take the time to look at the west side of Goheung and Geumgang Island. If you enter Goheung and go down to the west side, you will come across Goheung Bay Breakwater, which is the best place for car camping. If you go down to the southwest end after passing Goheung Bay Breakwater, you will come across Nokdong Port, a huge port. If you pass Sorok Bridge and Geumgang Bridge, which are bridges connected to Sorok Island, you will come across Geumjin Port, which is the most famous port in Geumgang Island. If you go down to the southeast end along the coastal road of Geumgang Island, you will come across Ocheon Port, famous for its rocky reef points. At the eastern end of Geumgang Island is Myeongcheon Port, where you can park and fish right away. Now, let’s take a closer look at today’s point, Ocheon Port. In a nutshell, Ocheon Port is located at the southeastern end of Geumgang Island and is an excellent fishing spot for walking rock fishing. There are wide, expansive rocks on the large breakwater side and cute rocks spread out over the hill on the small breakwater side, tempting anglers. Let’s take a look at the fishing points as a whole. There are a total of 6 fishing points in Ocheon Port. No. 1 is the small breakwater rock point. No. 2 is the small breakwater point. No. 3 is the large breakwater rock point. No. 4 is the large breakwater point. No. 5 is the north dock point. No. 6 is the north rock point. In general, the inner harbor of Ocheon Port is shallow and has many shoals, making fishing difficult, and fishing is mainly done on rocks 1 and 3. The main species of fish to catch in Ocheon Port are black sea bream, mullet, sea bass, sand bream, pufferfish, and saury, and the main methods of fishing are float fishing and long-distance fishing. Now, let’s take a closer look at the points. This is point 1, the small breakwater rocky shore. This is a place where you can aim for black sea bream, mullet, sand bream, sea bass, and saury. It is the most popular place near the Ocheon Port breakwater, and before the black sea bream fishing ban begins in May, many anglers visit here in early spring to catch black sea bream that return to the bay. I have visited point 1 several times and have not caught any notable catches, but this is a place where I have actually witnessed a local angler catch five black sea breams in a row in one spot. In order to give you a more realistic view of what the Ocheon Port sand bream looks like, we will produce a separate 360-degree point video, so please look forward to it. This is point 2, the small breakwater. This is a point that local anglers often visit to catch black sea bream. According to local residents, it is a popular place for locals because it catches black sea bream better than the rock point. However, fishing on tetrapods is dangerous, so fishing here is not recommended except for locals who are used to fishing here. This is the rock point of the 3rd large breakwater. There are stairs that lead up to the rock hill, and there is a small observation deck on the hill. If you go down to the right, you can go down to the bottom of the rock. There is a relatively wide rock, and it is a good place to enjoy quiet rock fishing. Since the 1st rock point is so famous, people fill up the 1st rock first and then head there, so it feels relatively empty. This is the 4th large breakwater point. The middle of the breakwater is a tetrapod area, so it is dangerous, so it is recommended that you refrain from fishing there. The end of the breakwater does not have tetrapods, but it is a place where fishing boats come and go, so it is better for long-distance fishing than trolling. The inner part of Ocheon Port is mostly shallow and has a lot of shoals, so fishing from the outer part is better than fishing from the inner part. Maybe that’s why the small wharf in the inner port looks good for light fishing, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone fish there. This is point 5, the north wharf. You can do trolling, lure fishing, and long-distance fishing here. Personally, I think this is the most comfortable place to fish in Ocheon Port. This is point 6, the north reef rock. It is a place with a wide expanse of reef rocks that look good for fishing. Actually, I haven’t been to points 5 and 6 to fish yet. That’s because every time I go to Ocheon Port, points 1 and 3 look so good that I can’t go all the way to points 5 and 6. Every time I come to Ocheon Port, I feel that even though points 5 and 6 to the north look pretty good, not many anglers visit them. This is because there are so many good fishing spots around here, making them relatively unpopular. If this place were near the metropolitan area, points 5 and 6 would p
