About :

A young man from Oradea has been specializing, for several years, in following the elderly alone, who own money and valuable property. He gets close to them, wins their trust, and eventually ends up taking over their fortune. What initially seems like just a well-crafted scam then turns into a series of suspicious deaths that land on TV news and prosecutors' desks. But the story does not end here, it continues to unfold today. An incredible story in which evil triumphs not because good people are passive, but because they live in a failed state with dysfunctional institutions. Although it is about the death of lonely old people, several of their friends and neighbors are stubborn to ask for explanations and revolt against the lack of reaction of the authorities. After more than four years in which the prosecutors are not able to establish anything, the acquaintances of the old people turn to the press. Using journalistic tools, the Recorder has been trying for nearly a year to piece together testimony, information from the file and ramifications ignored by investigators. Our mission is to bring them to the public and make them known.
