When lifting the bag-shaped homang, care must be taken not to tear the net. This is because each cod weighs 7 to 10 kg. The cod caught this way is moved to a workshop to dry in the cold wind. After removing the gills and intestines, they are laid out in a row and dried for about ten to fifteen days to make dried cod. In addition, the work of making medicinal cod, which has been eaten as a health food in Geoje since ancient times, also continues. After emptying the gills and intestines, the inside of the body is filled with salt, wrapped with rice straw, and dried for about 3 months.
