It is always a pleasure to visit the UMA Los Fortines Ranch in the mountains of Valparaiso, Zacatecas. We returned to this beautiful place with the company of my brothers, chef Pastor Pérez and mezcalero Toño Briones. Fresnillo, Pánuco and Pinos are present in Valparaiso, a good representation of what we Zacatecans are. The visit was planned with the purpose of taking advantage of the wild turkey hunting season and seeing the behavior of these animals up close at this time of year. It was all new to me, since I know nothing about hunting and although it is not entirely to my liking, I enjoyed the visit and making this video. IT IS NOT MY INTENTION TO PROMOTE HUNTING as some may believe, my purpose in this video, as in all the videos on the channel, is to show the stories as naturally as possible. On this occasion we talk about the hunting of the Sierra turkey, but we also highlight everything that is done in Los Fortines so that all the species that inhabit the more than 10 thousand hectares that the ranch consists of can proliferate. That is the message that I would like those who see this video to treasure. We added this video to the collection that we have of Los Fortines, with this one there are already nine or ten, I don't remember well. Thank you very much Don Raúl Barrios for the always kind treatment of you and your staff.
