The ferry operated from 1975 until the last day of May 2016. During this time, it carried countless cars, pedestrians and cyclists. The opening of the tunnel in Gdańsk under the Martwa Wisła sealed the fate of the ferry, which became unprofitable and therefore unnecessary. Drivers are happy, pedestrians and cyclists are not - because the tunnel is not for them. The characteristic sound that had been coming from the ferry's chimney for decades fell silent on May 31, 2016, and the captain left the deck for the last time. Shortly after that, the ferry was scrapped. The film was shot a month before the liquidation of the routes. Special thanks to the captain and the owner of the ferry.
