Juan Pablo begins his talk with a trigger: When was the last time you argued? Arguments arise in the face of conflict and the encounter is inevitable. Conflict is a frequent phenomenon that occurs between people when we have the same interest or when we want something different. There is no preparation in life to be able to face interpersonal conflicts, so it is common to assume an extreme strategy between attack and flight. Conflicts connect us both with people and with the most enigmatic emotions such as hatred, anguish and anxiety. Managing emotions is key to addressing a conflict since it can take us too much time to face them. Juan Pablo Scarpinelli has a degree and is a Professor in Psychology (UNLP).
