In London, a brutal murderer seems to be targeting unsuspecting tourists. Eighteen bodies are found in abandoned subway tunnels within a matter of weeks. The victims' throats have been torn out, their bodies are covered in bite wounds. At the same time, the trainees at the Sinclair Academy must investigate a prophecy that an "army of non-life" is gathering beneath London and pushing its way to the surface. The prediction comes from the not very credible TV occultist Shirley Vance. But then mysterious apparitions increase throughout the city: flocks of birds darken the sky, walls of houses shift, and a new vault opens up in the Tower of London. If Shirley's prophecy is true, the trainees have little time left to save London from destruction. The SINCLAIR ACADEMY is a top-secret training center for young agents. It is subordinate to Scotland Yard, and like its founder and mentor, the legendary Chief Inspector John Sinclair, the Academy's trainees do not hunt ordinary gangsters - they hunt demons, ghosts and vampires...
