Anyone who visits the Christmas market in St. Gallen should first visit the Christmas tree on Klosterplatz. It was flown in by helicopter on Friday, November 15th. It is said to be around 17 meters high and weigh almost 4 tons. And while you are standing next to the collegiate church and cathedral, you should take another look around the Catholic church building. The Christmas market in St. Gallen cannot or does not want to compete with the large Christmas markets such as Stuttgart, Konstanz, Munich or Ulm. Come by anyway, even if you don't buy anything.
