The Espírito Santo mountain range is one of the most important mountainous and tourist regions in Brazil. It is made up of 7 charming colonial cities and 3 charming districts with a year-round winter climate and marked by European architecture. The gateway to the 10 most important tourist attractions in the Espírito Santo mountain range is the city of Domingos Martins, where we begin our expedition in this documentary “ENCANTOS SERRANOS”. In addition to Domingos Martins, the itinerary includes the cities of Marechal Floriano, land of orchids and where the locomotives of the Leopoldina Railway once blew their whistles; Venda Nova do Imigrante, the highest city in the Espírito Santo mountain range and home to beautiful sugarloaves; Conceição do Castelo, where the vegetation is lush and has the most rugged terrain in the state; and Afonso Cláudio, considered the capital of biodiversity in the state and the lowest municipality in the Espírito Santo mountain range. Santa Maria do Jetibá has the second highest altitude in the Espírito Santo mountain range and, like the other cities in the region, preserves the architectural and cultural features inherited from its German colonizers. Santa Teresa is recognized as the first city founded by Italian immigrants in Brazil and is also known as the “Beija-Flor do Espírito Santo” city. In the municipality of Domingos Martins, the highlight is the Pedra Azul do Aracê district, which is full of greenery, stunning landscapes, luxurious hotels and has the coldest climate in the Espírito Santo mountain region under its majestic blue stone. In the municipality of Marechal Floriano, the charms lie in the Araguaya district with its beautiful colonial buildings and its charming train station. In the municipality of Alfredo Chaves, the highlight is its natural beauty, magnificent urban architecture and the charming train station in the Mathilde district.
