Today, the Lost Place Tapes visit a place that you don't see every day and where the clocks have stopped striking. An abandoned country hotel - hidden in a forest in a German low mountain range - and forgotten by civilization. It will be a journey back in time with incredible discoveries, because here EVERYTHING has been left behind. A few words about the history: This can be traced back to the time around 1800. In the 1980s, the former mill aroused the interest of a Bavarian entrepreneur and sports promoter. With a great deal of sensitivity and attention to detail, over the years he turned the simple property into a true gem that attracted guests from far beyond the region's borders. When the entrepreneur died, the country hotel continued to decline. The once so attractive holiday home stood empty for many years. There was no trace of nobility anymore. On the contrary, the house fell into disrepair. At the end of 2017, the property went under the hammer again. Two men from Lower Bavaria, father and son, were prepared to put down almost a quarter of a million for the entire complex. But what do they have planned for the holiday farm? You can find out the answer to THAT in the video... For us as urbexers this place was a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in a time that is actually long gone and to experience once again how life must have been back then.
