The Bromacker is a fossil site for Early Permian vertebrates, which are preserved here in three dimensions and often completely. The ecosystem with many herbivores and few predators (similar to today) and the possibility of finding trace fossils and their producers side by side makes this site unique compared to other, similarly old fossil sites. It is therefore part of the UNESCO Global Geopark Thuringia Inselsberg-Drei Gleichen and is also the subject of current research, which can be viewed on site or online. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scotese, CR, 2016.
