During the month of August, having gone on holiday in Trentino Alto Adige for two weeks, I took the opportunity to film some trains on the renowned Brenner line. As you can see from the video, I also managed to pop into the Sankt Jodok station: a small stop that serves the municipality of Vals. Unfortunately, the only two freight trains I managed to see were two “RoLa” trains or better known as “Roving Motorways” both in DTS “Doppia Trazione Symmetrica”; the first with two Rh1293 while the second, in push, always had a Vectron while in the lead there is a fantastic Taurus, the 1016.016 CAT. Another interesting train is a Eurocity with another beautiful Taurus, the E190.019 “Leonardo”. We then move to Italy where the filming was done in the splendid bend located near the Mezzocorona station on the south side. Here we can see freight traffic and passenger traffic, which on this line is really very beautiful and varied: we find Italo and the various Frecciargento that connect Bolzano to Rome Termini, the very important Eurocity services that connect Italy to Austria (one of these filmed with another particular Taurus, an E190 Railjet) and then all the various regional trains operated by quite varied rolling stock. As for freight traffic, I have not been very lucky in my opinion. The only two interesting freight trains are a TEC with E186.443 RTC and an EUC for Brescia by MIR with a fantastic Vectron, the E193.709! Having said this, I wish you good viewing and thank my friend Matteo Burroni for the company!
