About :

The research ship USS Palomino with five crew members and a robot is searching for colonizable planets in space. The crew consists of Captain Dan Holland, Lieutenant Charles Pizer, Doctor Alex Durant, Doctor Kate McCrae and the journalist Harry Booth. The robot VINCENT. LF396 (Vital Information Necessary Centralized Labor Force 396) serves as a kind of on-board computer, but can simulate human emotions, which makes it much easier to handle. The research ship unexpectedly comes across a huge black hole, in whose gravitational pull the spaceship USS Cygnus, which has been missing for 20 years, is drifting, strangely unaffected by the black hole's attraction. Doctor McCrae's father was a crew member and first officer on the ship; the team decides to investigate the apparent ghost ship. The scientist and captain of the Cygnus, Dr. Hans Reinhardt, welcomes them on board. Apart from him, at first glance there are only robots on board: metal guard and combat robots and silent work robots that look like monks with black robes, hoods and mirror surfaces instead of faces; also Reinhardt's newest and superior prototype Maximillian, a red monster made of steel. According to Dr. Reinhardt, the actual crew was evacuated because the ship had previously been severely damaged by meteorites and wanted to return to Earth but...
