Emin Çapa explains the wealth we need to reach prosperity, civilization and catch up with the times. Emphasizing that the New World needs a new Us, Çapa reminds us that we are responsible for increasing our competencies every day and says, “If we do not want to remain in the dark, we have to follow that candlelight.” Born in İzmit in 1967, Emin Çapa studied journalism at Istanbul University, where he started in 1984, and completed both of his postgraduate studies on the EU. He started working as an intern at Hürriyet the same year he started university. Then, he became the first full-time economics reporter at Tempo magazine. Then, he was among the founders of Genç Radyo, one of the first private radio stations in Turkey. After working at TİSK for a short time due to his interest in worker-employer issues, he worked as an economics reporter at Sabah newspaper for 5 years. Then, he worked as a presidential advisor at TÜSİAD during the terms of Muharrem Kayhan and Erkut Yücaoğlu. He worked at CNN TURK for 19 years from November 1999 to 2018. He started his career at CNN TURK as an editor and became the Economy Intelligence Chief, then the Economy News Manager, and finally the Economy Manager. Çapa is married with a son and works as a gardener and art history-archaeology guide as a hobby.
