In this video lesson, I'll show you how to win most of your games when you play the black pieces. This starts after White's first move, 1.e4, which is one of the most commonly played opening moves. The opening variation I present in this video is the two knights defense, which is formed after the moves 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6. Then, when your opponent attacks with 4.Ng5, you can set a clever trap with the surprise move 4...Nxe4. This move is called the Ponziani-Steinitz Gambit. It may seem at first glance that you are giving the game away, since White could take the knight with 5.Nxe4, threaten a fork with 5.Nxf7, or check with the bishop on f7. BUT: In almost all variations of this trap, White loses, even when playing the most natural moves. Most of your opponents probably don't know this trick, which gives you a huge advantage!
