Irritable bowel syndrome is associated with several factors, especially diet. Some foods have been shown to be capable of exacerbating the symptoms of those with IBS. Among the worst foods are foods rich in fat, foods with fermentable components, also called FODMAPs, and even gluten. Not all patients notice worsening of symptoms with diet, but in many cases we can treat the symptoms of IBS with diet targeted to the symptoms on an individual basis. In this video I also talk about food allergies, food sensitivities, intestinal hypersensitivity, intestinal permeability, among other aspects of irritable bowel syndrome. THIS VIDEO IS EXCLUSIVELY INFORMATIVE AND IN NO WAY REPLACES A MEDICAL CONSULTATION. Feel free to comment, I will respond to as many comments as I can!
