The Battle of Vouillé was a decisive engagement that took place in 507 AD near the town of Vouillé in the present-day département of Vienne, France. This battle was pivotal in the struggle for control of Gaul between the Franks and the Visigoths. The battle was fought near Vouillé, west of Poitiers. Precise details of the engagement are scarce, but it is known that Clovis personally led his troops against the forces of Alaric II.
