And today we arrive at the Leon Trotsky House Museum in Coyoacán. This museum is painted red in allusion to Trotsky's ideology and is located on the outskirts of Mexico City, in the small town of Coyoacán. This was the last place Trotsky arrived after seeking asylum and escaping Stalin's persecution. However, Stalin's power crossed borders and he was able to achieve his goal. It was Ramón Mercader, a Spaniard by birth and a faithful follower of Stalin who carried out the macabre plan by wounding Trotsky in the neck on August 20, 1940 (despite the great security that the Russian ideologist had). Although Trotsky did not die instantly, he could not survive the severity of his injuries, dying on August 21, 1940. If you are in Coyoacán, this place is one of the must-sees in Mexico.
