Today Appennino365 takes you to discover Marano and Rocca Pitigliana, in the municipality of Gaggio Montano. Our journey starts from the square of Marano, dedicated to Bruno Gualandi, mayor of the municipality from 2004 to 2010. In the upper part of the town stands the church of the town. From the square of Marano also starts a CAI path that connects the town to the neighboring town of Rocca Pitigliana. This path offers a panoramic view of the hills of the Bolognese Apennines and allows you to admire and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature along the entire route. Once you reach the end of this journey of about 3km, you find yourself in Rocca Pitigliana. In this video we present two parts of this small town. The first is the Mulino della Rocca. This place brings with it an atmosphere of peace and serenity, also due to the renovation of the structure by the owners, Eugenia and Armando. The second part instead presents the Church of San Michele Arcangelo. This church was built and inaugurated in 1695 after the demolition of the old church only the previous year. Thanks to Maurizio Malavolti Deputy Mayor of Gaggio Montano for collaborating in the creation of this video content.
