About :

From September 12 to October 31, 2024, the Krasnodar Art Gallery SANTAL and ANO KPSOCR Heritage of Generations are holding an exhibition as part of the joint artistic and educational project "The Apollonovs - a family of artists". The exhibition presents the works of the famous sculptor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Alexander Apollonov (1947-2017), his widow - painter Valentina Apollonova. These are 18 easel sculptures (portraits, nudes, genre works, models and sketches of monuments, mythological compositions) by Alexander Apollonov and 25 paintings (landscapes, still lifes, portraits) by Valentina Apollonova. The exhibition was prepared by the Apollonovs' sons Ivan and Petr. An important part of the exhibition opening was the presentation of the photo album "Workshops of Alexander Apollonov", created by Krasnodar photographer Boris Ustinov in collaboration with the artists' eldest son - historian, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor Ivan Alexandrovich Apollonov. The project is dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia.
