A documentary from 2021 Dear friends, a small, big, slightly different contribution here on my channel; one of the most complex productions to date that I have been able to realize with my small team and the help of extremely friendly and helpful third parties! You can now see the result here - I very much hope that you like it and that it informs you a little about the so-called "Adolph Bermpohl hurricane"; the most severe storm ever recorded in the area of the German North Sea coast! Many thanks to the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS) and the German Weather Service; Dr. Birger Tinz! On February 23, 1967, one of the most severe storms in German history occurred in the area of the German North Sea coast: the so-called "Adolph Bermpohl hurricane". In the coastal area of the North Sea, the hurricane caused damage amounting to several million euros. Off the coast, the sea rescue cruiser "Adolph Bermpohl" fights its way through the whipped up floods to come to the aid of a motor vessel in distress. But on the way, the rescue cruiser receives another emergency call: a Dutch fishing boat reports water ingress. The Adolph Bermpohl and its four-man crew set out on a rescue mission between heaven and hell in the whipped up sea. The transfer of the fishermen from their sinking boat to the rescue cruiser succeeds - but the events that follow suddenly push even the most modern technology of the time to its limits.
