Camus in his essay: "The Myth of Sisyphus" shows us the parallelism and similarity that exists between the fruitless punishment of Sisyphus and the ephemeral nature of human life, since both are aware that their fate has already been cast, Sisyphus knows that the rock will fall again when it is about to reach the top and man knows that no matter how long his life is, in the end there is only one possible ending. If we see it this way, anyone could conclude that the life of man is nothing more than a frightening punishment, a terrible sentence imposed by some higher force.
