This summer marks 30 years since the establishment of the National Guard brigade in Latvia. Today, the celebration took place in Riga, where defenders of the capital - the First Riga Brigade - celebrated their thirtieth anniversary. The military parade wound through Old Riga and past the Freedom Monument, and those who have been in the ranks of the brigade for all 30 years were also honored today. And since the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, you can no longer complain about the lack of new forces - every day someone who wants to defend his Latvia writes an application with a request to be accepted into the ranks of the National Guard.
