Can you hate a car? I'm sure that for you or me, true "sick" of everything that has 4 wheels and an engine, it is impossible. But! ... it depends. There are cars that have really earned the hatred of their owners and/or fans for various reasons ... let's see them. What reasons are there to hate a car? This is the key to the matter. And let's see these reasons. #cars #classiccars Become a member of this channel to enjoy advantages: / hermetic garage First, the aesthetics. And there are ugly cars, very ugly. It is true that there have been very disruptive, too innovative or risky. But no, I'm not talking about these, I'm talking about those that are ugly with a vengeance. Second, that they are an absurd proposal. I'll explain it to you with an example, since we've talked about SUVs. Although, as my mother used to say, “you have to be forced to suffocate” and I am beginning to see SUVs in a different light, I try to put myself in the eyes of their buyers… they are certainly not my favorite cars. Third, cars that don’t go well, that are not well resolved. They are neither practical nor pleasant to drive or they consume too much or weigh too much… or all at the same time! Fourth and perhaps the most important: A clamorous lack of reliability. A car that leaves you stranded, that you have to take to the garage every now and then and spend a lot of money… you end up hating that car. I had a fantastic car… but one that I came to hate because of (COUNT Mitsubishi Grandis). 1. Chrysler PT Cruiser (1999). It wasn’t cheap. It used a lot of fuel. It didn’t have a quality finish. It didn’t go particularly well either… and that “modern-classic-baroque” style was not liked. Despite everything, 1.8 million units were manufactured… what a cost to sell. 2. Chrysler Sebring Cabrio (1996). I was able to test drive the 2.0 16v LX, which was supposed to have 163 hp… supposedly. It was not well finished and everything was rattled. In the USA there were forums with hundreds of posts from customers complaining about the car… 3. Dodge Omni (1977). Other experiments to adapt European designs to the American market had failed, but Chrysler thought: “We will do it right.” Well, no. The car was of very low quality, its owners thought it was dangerous and it caused a lot of problems… And it was not pretty, what you would call pretty. 4. Kia Opirus (2003). Kia thought “let’s make a car that is like a Mercedes-Benz, but very cheap.” Well, it was very cheap… but how cheap was a Mercedes? 5. Edsel (1958). Here are some facts: It was only manufactured for three years, from 1958 to 1960, it cost 250 million dollars, it almost ruined the brand and only 116,000 units were manufactured… waaaaay less than expected! The engine had problems, the car was of poor quality, buyers thought it was very ugly… and now… it is in high demand! It is estimated that only 7,000 units have survived. 6. GM Impact (1996). The car did not go very fast and although it announced a range of 113 km in the first version and up to 257 km in the last ones… guess what… (silence)… the real range was barely more than half… GM bought back all the units and destroyed them. GM said it had “killed” the electric car… you see, it had not. 7. Hummer H2 (2002). A civilized derivative of the original H1 designed for the military. But not very civilized. Despite its enormous size, it was not very habitable, it was huge, heavy, had poor running speed and consumed a lot of fuel. As I read in an American newspaper: “Whoever bought one, ended up hating it.” 8. Nissan Cube (1998). As a British journalist friend of mine told me when he tried it: “It’s hateful. I don’t like the way it goes. And it’s horrible. I wore a cap and a hood when I drove it in case someone recognized me…” Nothing more to add. 9. Nissan Murano Cross Convertible (2011). Honestly… look at this car… is it ugly or not ugly? Honestly, more than ugly it’s disproportionate. Who the hell came up with the “brilliant” idea, with lots of quotation marks, of making a convertible SUV! 10. Perodua Myvi (2005). I brought you this rarity made in Malaysia… that they tried to sell outside their country at very advantageous prices. The thing is that the car, I can't say it any other way, was really bad, it didn't run, it wasn't pleasant to drive and it didn't meet minimum safety requirements. 11. Pontiac Aztek (2001). This car is a "fixture" on the lists of ugly and bad cars, which are not exclusive adjectives. The truth is that somehow they achieved their goal. 12. Range Rover Evoque Cabrio (2016). Someone at Range had a brilliant idea. Since Nissan has made a convertible SUV, and has slapped itself in the face, why don't we do the same? They did it, launch a convertible SUV and slap themselves in the face. 12+1. Studebaker Wagonaire (1963). In this car when it rained, you got wet, the roof's watertightness wasn't that bad, it was non-existent... a disaster. And t
