The statements of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the Secretary General of NATO's Wolf Alliance, Mark Rutte, proved that the latter's visit to Athens was anything but ethnically typical, as Thanasis Pafilis, KKE's parliamentary representative, said in his speech today, Tuesday, November 26. in the Plenary of the Parliament as part of the session on the draft law on cyber security. Discrediting the imaginations of both the government and the other NATO parties that the NATO chief came to Greece to denounce Turkey's claims in the Aegean, he characteristically said that they are in vain, because yesterday, during his meeting with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he extolled the Turkish army and the neighboring country as a NATO ally: “This NATO defend yourself!' Then, Th. Pafilis emphasized that while the NATO-Russia imperialist war centered on Ukraine is ongoing, what the wolf alliance wants is to stabilize its south-eastern wing and to inspect the war preparations of Greece, which, the parliamentary representative of the KKE reminded , is part of the war, turning the country into an aggressive power. He added that the "NATO hawk" came to Athens to discuss, first of all, the delivery of other war material, in addition to that necessary for the defense of the country, which the Greek people have paid for in gold and the government of the ND has delivered to the Zelensky regime and secondly, an increase in the war budget for the dangerous plans of the NATO war machine and not for the defense of the country, as the government claims. Th. Pafilis, speaking about the rapid developments that have taken place in recent days regarding the war in Ukraine, pointed out the "very difficult situation" that prevails, highlighting the fact that in Greece there are two strategic NATO bases in Souda and Alexandroupoli. Especially for the latter, he emphasized that military equipment is being transported to Ukraine from there, while it is also part of the Russian planning: "Those who study military matters understand that it is much easier than other countries to hit them." At this point he referred to today's demonstration of the KKE in Athens with massive participation of people who voiced their opposition to the policy of the government and "all the others who are ducking at best".
