Although the Lágymányosi Bridge, built between 1992 and 1995, had the tramway track prepared from the very beginning, it took nearly two decades for the rails to be laid. The bridge, which was renamed Rákóczi in the meantime, had its first trial run on 26 January 2015. Rákóczi (former Lágymányosi) bridge was built from 1992 to 1995. Altough trackbad was prepared for the further extension of line 1 in the beginning the first tram could run on the bridge on 26.01.2015.
