Many atheists promote the idea that there is no God. Werner Gitt deals with ten arguments against faith in this lecture. These include the following claims: 1. The Bible was only written by humans. 2. Humans are also descended from apes. 3. There is so much unimaginable suffering and death in our world. But if there is suffering and death and there is also a God who is love, that does not fit together. 4. We are just an insignificant speck of dust in this huge universe. 5. There are so many religions in the world. They cannot all be true. So what is the truth? 6. But are there so many people who have never heard the gospel? 7. What about those who lived before the time of Jesus? 8. Christians are no better than others. 9. I am young and I still want to get something out of life. When I am old and it is time to die, I will convert too. This is very unlikely. There is only one example in the Bible of someone being saved shortly before death and that is the thief on the cross. 10. With death, everything is over.
