In essence, forcing bulbous plants is a "cheat" of the bulb: by changing the temperature and light conditions at an accelerated pace, they imitate autumn, winter and spring. And the plant blooms at a time convenient for us, for example, on New Year's or March 8. All bulbous and small-bulbous plants are used for forcing, as well as some plants with thick rhizomes: tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, lilies of the valley, irises, hippeastrums, callas. Of the small-bulbous ones - crocus, muscari, snowdrop, ornithogalum, corydalis, scilla. In order for full flowering to take place, the bulbs must be properly prepared.
