It is very natural, after the recent events in Syria, and the rapid fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, that you find a difference in points of view, and a difference in reactions. You will find people who are happy, in an instinctive and humane way, and they see that the result is a happy people, with the release of detainees who saw the horror in Assad’s prisons, and an unjust sectarian regime, falling forever, and its president fleeing like a terrified mouse. And you will find other people, even if they sympathize with the Syrian people, but they express their logical concern, and are anticipating what will come with the new situation, and with the future whose features are still not clear. All of this is understandable, and it is natural for differences in points of view to occur. They are the group that monopolizes patriotism and nationalism, from the coalition of the left, to nationalism and statism. And of course with them are slaves Nasserism.. Here a few questions arise.. What is the secret of the panic that has afflicted these groups in Egypt? .. Why do these people, despite all their slogans, and their national and social zeal, always fail at every moral and human test? And what are the reasons for their historical support for any tyrant and dictator?
