Several hundred euros for a concert ticket? Big concerts can now cost almost as much as a short vacation. Whether Adele in Munich or Taylor Swift in Gelsenkirchen - fans often had to pay a lot of money in 2024 to see their favorite artists live. Platforms like Viagogo and the flourishing black market are driving ticket prices even higher. The dynamic pricing strategy used also means that prices rise sharply with demand. Some see this as a threat to general access to culture. Not everyone can afford the luxury of spending so much money on a concert. Others argue that high prices are justified: If you want to experience your favorite musicians and see an extraordinary show, you have to pay more for it - especially given the increased production costs. In addition, in a free market economy it is natural that prices rise when demand is high. So should we just accept the high prices or does something urgently need to change? Our guests talk about this on "13 Questions". Do you have a topic that we should discuss in our next episode? Feel free to send us your suggestions to unbubble@zdf.de .
