Fetish Magic is a television film from the crime series Tatort on ARD and ORF. The film was produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk under the direction of Thorsten Näter and first broadcast on May 5, 1996. It is Tatort episode 331. For Chief Inspector Paul Stoever (Manfred Krug) it is the 27th case. For his colleague Peter Brockmöller (Charles Brauer) it is the 24th case in which he is investigating. Stoever and Brockmöller are called to a stabbing in the Afro-American Cultural Center in Hamburg. The black man Roul, one of the guests, was stabbed, but nobody saw anything. While Stoever looks around and also inspects the sacred rooms of the voodoo priest who operates there, he receives a call calling him to a new case. The building contractor Walter Mewes was found hanged in his villa, and it remains to be determined whether it was really suicide. The grief of the dead man's wife and son is limited, so Stoever becomes suspicious. This is reinforced when he finds out that the stabbed Roul was head of security in one of Mewes' companies. When Stoever and Brockmöller look around there, they learn that the "Caribu" company has numerous black employees and that there is great tension between the managing director Jensen and the new junior boss Gert Mewes.
