March - April 2024. Spontaneous and planned walks around Tashkent. I show the architectural layers of the capital of Uzbekistan - mahallas with clay labyrinths and colonial architecture, constructivism and Stalinist Empire style, modernism with national flavor and ventilated facades with mirrored glass, modern copying of old forms and modern architecture... New layers are added again and again. Many buildings in the shots have already been rebuilt beyond recognition, some are awaiting this fate or demolition in the near future. It was not easy to find and check the information. If you know something that I do not know, or found inaccuracies - write in the comments. I will be very interested.
