Known for his fondness for the Turkish language, Sinanoğlu's speech was frequently interrupted by applause. Underlining in bold lines that a nation should protect its culture, Sinanoğlu said that the mind will be protected with science and the heart with language. Giving examples from Yunus Emre and Hoca Ahmet Yesevi, Sinanoğlu said that the degenerating western culture must be eliminated.
