We get behind the wheel to drive the Volkswagen Taigo and T-Cross SUV models. Of Volkswagen's two new B-SUV models, the T-Cross is offered as a more accessible option, while the Taigo carries a higher price tag due to its rich equipment. The T-Cross, offered with a 1.0-liter TSI engine, offers an urban small SUV design, while the Taigo is on the sportier side, as can be understood from both the 1.5-liter engine alternative and the R-Line equipment option. The Taigo has a sparkling appearance with the IQ.LIGHT LED Matrix headlights that come in the Style equipment package just above the base version Life, the LED light strip that we remember from other VW models, and the LED stop lights that extend from end to end at the rear. The T-Cross, on the other hand, offers more modest equipment features. The T-Cross and Taigo were developed on the Volkswagen Group's MQB-A0 platform. This platform, which is used in small-class cars such as the Seat Arona, Skoda Kamiq and VW Polo, forms the basis of both B-SUVs, although there are significant differences in terms of dimensions. Taigo, which has a body approximately 15 cm longer than the T-Cross, is 6.5 cm less tall than its platform twin. We discuss the details of both cars and all the differences between them.
