Why are we ashamed of poverty? Negligence and very often open contempt for those who live on the edge of existence, not only affects the self-esteem of these same people, but pushes them into a strong feeling of shame, which, according to numerous studies, they become familiar with already in childhood, the moment they realize that there is a difference between them and some others. Shame follows concealment, silence, taboo. As of 2019, the world has become richer for 77 million poor people. Given the current circumstances surrounding the war in Ukraine, that number is rising. Must rejection also experience progress, just like the shame and fear of the rejected? Is the taboo getting stronger? The most dominant stereotypes related to poverty, which are the causes of such relationships, were discussed in the show Tabu with Milan Nikolić: Žarko Korać - psychologist, Danilo Ćurčić - lawyer from Initiative A11, Branko Rosić - writer and journalist. #Tabu - Fridays at 22.00 on #InsajderTV Just watch us on number 17 on SBB and Total TV, number (1)18 on MTS, number 24 on Supernova and number 11 on Yettel.
