SWIMMING SPRINGS ŠIPOVO (The Largest Sources of Drinking Water in Europe) The Pliva river, known for its crystal clear water and picturesque landscapes, springs from several sources near Šipovo Bosnia and Herzegovina, a small town located in the western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pliva springs are a unique natural phenomenon that attracts many tourists, nature lovers and researchers. In the village of Pljeva, located at the foot of the Vitorog mountain, in the middle of untouched nature that radiates freshness and greenery even during hot summer days, three sources come together to form the river Pliva. This river, after crossing 33 kilometers, flows into the Vrbas in the town of Jajce. Where one of the most beautiful waterfalls, the Plivski waterfall, and the famous waterfall in Jajce are made. At an altitude of 490 meters, clear and cold water emerges from a large rock, forming the source of the Pliva River, which is said to be the most attractive. Already at the very beginning, Pliva creates a series of rapids and waterfalls. It is believed that the water at the springs of Pliva originates from Glamočki polje. The springs are located at a distance of more than 1 km. Pliva water at the source maintains a constant temperature of around 8°C, which indicates its path through great depths.
