Last year, Sophia decided to take part in her first Olympic distance triathlon. And that despite the fact that she didn't particularly like endurance sports and didn't even have a proper bike. It was a crazy idea in the truest sense of the word. After a shorter sprint triathlon (popular triathlon) in Berlin, she took the next step in the autumn and signed up for the Kallinchen triathlon, this time in the Olympic distance. From then on, the intensive preparation began, during which she trained swimming, cycling and running in order to be optimally prepared. Sophia's triathlon adventure was an exciting process of challenge and self-overcoming. She had set herself a clear goal and worked hard to achieve it. With professional training planning and the right equipment, she fought her way through the swimming, pedaled her way through the cycling course and finally crossed the finish line in the final Olympic distance run. Here she shares her experiences and gives valuable tips for triathlon beginners. She talks about preparation, motivation and mastering the individual disciplines. And why a protein bar and power gel won't save the day in the end. This was our pilot episode for THIS MUST BE THE PLACE and now comes as a little bonus while we work at full speed through the material of the last two months. __________________________________________________________ Follow us on Instagram: @thismustbetheplace92 __________________________________________________________ We are Sophia and Julian.
