Świętokrzyskie Green Velo. On bikes from Końskie to Sandomierz

Green Velo is a long-distance cycling trail from Elbląg to Końskie. It is about 2000 km long (main route plus connecting routes) and was the first such large cycling project on a national scale. It was not just about painting signs on trees and preparing a map. The creators of Green Velo not only marked it in the field along existing roads (mainly asphalt + gravel), but also built new sections of routes just for cyclists. In addition, MORs (Cyclists' Service Areas) were created, and accommodation places could apply for the title of MPR (Cyclists' Friendly Places). In October 2020, we decided to ride the shortest of the provincial sections of Green Velo. And that is why we are taking you to the Świętokrzyskie Green Velo, which is about 200 km long, starting in Końskie and ending in Sandomierz. We did this 3-day trip as part of the #masterybloggers organized by the Polish Tourism Organization. #visitpoland In 3 days we did 248 km, slightly deviating from the main trail twice. And although we know the Świętokrzyskie province, and we have ridden parts of the Green Velo there more than once, it was still a great experience for us. First of all, because it was the first time we were traveling on bikes with panniers.
