The taralli dough is made of eggs, flour, oil and salt that once well mixed give life to a smooth and soft dough. An ancient recipe passed down from generation to generation and each family has its own tried and tested personal recipe. Antonella also adds a little aniseed liqueur to the dough to give an added note of flavor. These sweet taralli are then glazed with a very simple compound to make based on sugar, water, salt and lemon.
