Sweet garlic, a specialty of Aomori, Japan. It can be grown well in cold weather. The colder it is, the sweeter the garlic will be. It is grown alternately with rice to circulate minerals in the soil, making it suitable for growing garlic. During the rice planting period, there will be rice straw that adds microorganisms to the soil and water will be retained in the rice fields, so the soil is healthy. It takes farmers 9 months to plant the garlic and can be sold for hundreds of baht per plant. In addition, Aomori also has a Garlic Center where you can buy many processed garlic products, such as garlic cola, garlic ramen, roasted garlic.
