In the eighth and final main episode of the 4th season of Comida que Sustenta, the program discusses the current challenges related to climate change and childhood health. After all, how can we look to the present while taking care of the future? The conversation was guided by the research entitled: “Global Syndemic: the impact of anthropogenic climate change on the health and nutrition of children under five years old served by the SUS”, carried out by professor and researcher Aline Martins de Carvalho, creator, founder and coordinator of Sustentarea. The research studies the interrelationships of the components of the global syndemic - malnutrition, obesity and climate change - in children under 5 years old, which has been worsening over the years. For this debate, we have the special participation of Aline Martins de Carvalho, as well as Arthur Ramalho Magalhães, who is a biologist and is doing his postdoctoral research at USP with the Sustentarea project, and Cecília Stanzani Klapka, who is a nutritionist and a master's student at the USP School of Public Health, both members of the research team for this study. The presentation is by Pâmela Di Christine and Laís Dias. • REFERENCES The links cited are gathered on the episode page • CONTACT US To learn more about our work, visit our website: www.fsp.usp.br/sustentarea E-mail: [email protected] Instagram: instagram.com/sustentarea/ Facebook: facebook.com/sustentarea LinkedIn: linkedin.com/company/sustentarea/ YouTube: / @sustentareausp To learn more about our work, visit our website: https://www.fsp.usp.br/sustentarea E-mail: [email protected] Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2Or5syG Instagram: / sustentarea Facebook: / sustentarea LinkedIn: / sustentarea YouTube: / @sustentareausp • TECHNICAL INFORMATION Comida que Sustenta is a production of Sustentarea.
