SURAH YASIN It was revealed in Mecca. It consists of 83 verses. The word "ya sin", which is formed from the letters "ya" and "sin" at the beginning, became the name of the surah. Many hadiths have been narrated about the virtues of this surah. Most of them emphasize that Surah Yasin is the heart of the Quran. Therefore, the name "Heart of the Quran" has become the second name for the surah. In a hadith narrated by Imam Bazzar from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Everything has a heart. The heart of the Quran is Yasin. I would like it to be in the heart of every person of my ummah." Imam Malik and Imam Ibn Hibban narrated from Jundab ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever recites Yasin at night seeking Allah's pleasure, Allah will forgive him." Imam Ahmed, Imam Abu Dawud, Imam Nasa'i, Imam ibn Moja and Imam Hakimlar narrated from Ma'qal ibn Yasar, may God bless him and grant him peace, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Yasin is the heart of the Qur'an." Whoever recites it with hope in Allah and the Last Day will surely be forgiven. Read it to your dead," they said. Following this Hadith Sharif and other similar Hadiths, it has become a common practice among Muslims to memorize this Surah Karima and read it constantly. In particular, special attention is paid to the issues of resurrection, prophethood and unity of God. At the beginning of the Surah, an oath is taken by the All-Wise Quran and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is affirmed as the true prophet. The Qur'an, steeped in ignorance, is discussed, as the disbelievers of Quraysh went beyond the limits and rejected Muhammad (peace be upon him). Then, the events that occurred between the prophets sent to a village and the people of that village are recounted. The fate of those who denied prophethood is emphasized. The behavior of a person who came to faith and what his fate was are also described in a wonderful manner. Then, events that indicate the unity and infinite power of Allah Almighty in the universe are discussed. The coming of life to the barren earth, the alternation of night and day, the sun shining and revolving in its place, the moon rising and setting in the constellations, and other processes are discussed. The surah also deals with topics such as the Day of Judgment and its horrors, the blowing of the trumpet and the resurrection of the dead, their gathering for the Day of Judgment, the separation of people into believers and unbelievers, and their rewards and punishments.
