Whoever recites the Surah Al-Waqi'ah with faith, bears witness to the existence of Allah, the Day of Judgment, and the Qur'an. Whoever recites this series every day, that person will not know poverty or hunger. There will be no shortage of halal sustenance, abundance, and blessing in his household. If it is recited to a person whose time has come, his questioning will be easy, and he will enter the grave with faith. Surah Al-Ma'idah has 120 verses. It was revealed in Medina. The surah takes its name from the 112th verse, which contains the word اَلْمَائِدَةُ (Ma'idah), meaning "a table with food." In essence, this surah is a divine table where the blessings of Islam are offered. In addition, this surah is also called “Uqud” because the first verse commands the fulfillment of contracts; “Munqiza” because it will save those who read it from the hands of the angels of punishment; and “Muba’sira” because religious provisions are sprinkled throughout various verses. As can be seen, Surah Al-Ma’idah is one of the important surahs that includes many regulations that regulate the religious, social, economic and political lives of Muslims. In this respect, it has great virtue. Hz. Aisha (ra): “Surah Al-Ma’idah is one of the last surahs to be revealed. Therefore, whatever you find in it, keep the lawful things as lawful and the forbidden things as forbidden.” (Ahmad b. Hanbel, Musnad, VI, 188) Abdullah b. Amr b. As (ra) emphasizes the importance of the sura and its importance in religion by saying, “The Sura Al-Ma’idah was revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) while he was riding his mount.
